RAPPVILLE CREATIVE RECOVERY PROJECT

RAPPVILLE TABLE CLOTH
Did you know that during WW1 the people of Rappville created a tablecloth, to raise funds for the war effort. Initiated by Rappville’s Red Cross, 185 local people paid a small donation to write their name on the tablecloth, which was later embroidered by ladies from the village and outlying areas.
Lyndall Phelps, one of the Rappville Creative Recovery Project artists, is keen to create a second tablecloth for the village and is inviting locals to join in, so the next time you see Lyndall don’t be surprised if she asks you to write your name for her. You can also do this on a form at the Rappville Post Office.
The Rappville Community Tablecloth 2021 will be printed, to allow multiple copies to be made. It will be launched in October, when the Rappville Creative Recovery Project culminates.
You can view the original Rappville Tablecloth, view the new 2021 replica and order a printed cloth version over the weekend of Rappville Creative from 3pom FRIDAY OCTOBER - 4PM SUNDAY 31 OCTOBER.
